The Trees Are Full Of Forests

song art for the trees are full of forests

Here’s an action-adventure themed cinematic piece featuring energetic percussion loops, regal french horns, punchy brass sections and sprinkles of cinematic SFX.

Isle of An Caillte

song art for isle of caillte

A cinematic piece that starts out with a low, droning synth before a tribal rhythm sets the pace. This one came out sounding like a title sequence for a modern action-adventure game.

The Last Sunday

Here’s a short cinematic piece built with freely available samples, including the robust pack from Virtual Playing Orchestra. Done in the style of a trailer for an action/adventure movie. I’d love to see it put to some cool visuals! If you do, drop me a line! 🙂

Yamahamburger

This tune is a spotlight on a vintage piece of gear in my TranSan studio, a piece which has been part of my setup for many, many years. The Yamaha TX81Z is a FM (Frequency Modulation) synthesizer from 1987 and can be heard in many songs of the era. “Yamahamburger” is a few layers of modern sound sprinkled with generous helpings of the presets LatelyBass, Sitar, HiStrings, NylonGuitar and BaadBreath.

When I Hear It Now

This tune started out with a bassline that resulted from an afternoon break from work. At first, it was a “wood bass” sound from my digital piano’s bank of extra sounds, but the lick it led to screamed for an 80’s synth bass.
