This piece is a very Vangelis-imspired collection of sweeping pads, piano, flute and English horn. All aboard a chill 70bpm rhythm of percussion instruments.
Here’s a laid-back tune with a hypnotic slow but steady drum-n-bass groove under haunting leads from classic synthesizers like the Roland D-50 and the Korg MS-10.
Recently my partner discovered this delightfully cheezy early 80s synth console, and I was quite happy to help haul the monstrosity up four stories and into the TranSan studio! This tune is a blend of modern with some sprinkling of Elka E-19 classic synth.
Here is a tune that’s been percolating on my back burner for nearly two decades! It’s a jazzy little swing piece that I frequently used for soundchecks at live performances. Now I’ve finally gotten around to recording it, and in TranSan style.
This tune was inspired by a gorgeous guitar sample available in the iOS SampleTank add-on pack “American Acoustic”. Sprinkle some “stardust” arpeggiator and you’ve got a moderate-tempo, laid-back pop song perfect for graceful movements or time-lapse video.
Here is a piece that is designed to sit in the background, out of the way of the subject of your video but present enough to elicit an emotional connection to your viewer.
Sometimes you just have one o’ those weeks. You know the kind. The ones that can wind you up so bad… Here’s a relaxing tune to help you uncoil your tension.
This tune started out with a bassline that resulted from an afternoon break from work. At first, it was a “wood bass” sound from my digital piano’s bank of extra sounds, but the lick it led to screamed for an 80’s synth bass.
Ever rub your finger lightly along the rim of a glass? That musical tone becomes the basis of this tunes lead arpeggiator, a swirling loop of rising and falling tones sprinkled with light bells and supported by a perky bass. Special thanks to Greg for inspiring the key signature and title!
