Made with a collection of MuLab sounds, some controlled by BlueArp VST, as well as sounds from BBC Symphony Orchestra (Spitfire Audio), Fluid Soundfont, OB-Xd VST and MonsterDrums.
The Freakin’ Pen is Blue!
Started out with a custom auto-accompaniment built from several layered arps. Instruments from MuLab, SynthMaster Player, Syntronik, Monster Drums, PG-8X and an old Casio CTK-650.
Brandon’s Lunar Odyssey
Made with a Chrystal Pad synth in Kontakt, Hydro Lead Light in Syntronik, Distant Majestic Lead in Vital, SEQ Elements in Synthmaster Player, Swept Away in Crystal Soft Synth, and horns in BBC Symphony Orchestra, all pulled along a throbbing rhythm generated by the Tattoo Percussion Synthesizer. Other assorted instruments from MuLab DAW and strings from a Yamaha P115 digital piano.
The Lost Prince
Made with layers of hardware synths including Yamaha YPT-320, Yamama MM6, Yamaha TG-33 and Roland D-5, as well as the VSTs Monster Drums, Vital and Synthmaster Player, along with a smattering of MuTools synths.
City of Glass and Stone
Made mostly of sounds from the Vital VST synth from Vital Audio.
Teenage Dreamscape
This poppity throwback was built using mostly sounds from Arturia’s Analog Lab V (VST), with a few helpers thrown in from MuLab’s built-in synths.
Snappy the Turtle
Made with IK Multimedia Syntronic, Audio Damage Tattoo Percussion Synthesizer, KV331 Audio Synthmaster Player, a smattering of samples and assundry MuLab presets.
Dah’ren Sunrise
Another experiment in slaving a collection of VST instruments to a malfunctioning Korg i3 Workstation (1993). This time, I capture a pop rock style preset. This old i3 doesn’t produce sound anymore, so by capturing the multiple MIDI channels of a preset style pattern, I’m able to breath new life into it by assigning those channels to a sandwich of VSTs.
Cybertronic Starlust
A hard-pumping pop track built from auto-accompaniment sequences from a vintage Korg i3 Workstation sandwiched into a collection of modern VSTs.
Flight of the Blue Dove
Jamming on some synths while accompanied by an AI-generated backing track.
