Another experiment in slaving a collection of VST instruments to a malfunctioning Korg i3 Workstation (1993). This time, I capture a pop rock style preset. This old i3 doesn’t produce sound anymore, so by capturing the multiple MIDI channels of a preset style pattern, I’m able to breath new life into it by assigning those
Jamming on some synths while accompanied by an AI-generated backing track.
A laid-back but power rhythm leads a Vangelis-esque pulsing bass drone, accompanied by a choir synthetic and sampled voices from around the world. Add a little bit of regal horn and sparkling hand bells, and you’ve set the scene for Christmas in Rockland.
