Quit Playin’ With My Heart Again
This song grew out of a melody idea that came to me on a brisk, early morning walk. Made with sounds from Monster Drum, Analog Lab V, Audiolatry Grand Piano, and a smattering of sounds from MuLab.
Whips Chains and Leatherface
A creepy new addition to the Halloween Playlist, made with Monster Drums Hellboy Cube pack, Analog Lab V, Crystal Soft Synth, and a smattering of patches from within the MuLab DAW.
Falling Into Autumn
Inspired by the season at the time of writing, as well as by some free loops available from Cymatics.fm, along with some MuLab, Analog Lab V, Vital and Monster Drums sandwiched in. Watch this song being made with highlights from the TranSan Labs live stream:
Telecommunication Breakdown
Built using a collection of samples from Looperman.com with a smattering of MuLab, Surge XT and Monster Drums instruments sandwiched in. Watch this song being made with highlights from the TranSan Labs live stream:
Discobobulate
Made with Love-Fi 3 Lite, LANDR Chromatic, SINE Player, Monster Drums, OB-Xd and a smattering of MuLab instruments.
The Lost Prince
Made with layers of hardware synths including Yamaha YPT-320, Yamama MM6, Yamaha TG-33 and Roland D-5, as well as the VSTs Monster Drums, Vital and Synthmaster Player, along with a smattering of MuTools synths.
Dah’ren Sunrise
Another experiment in slaving a collection of VST instruments to a malfunctioning Korg i3 Workstation (1993). This time, I capture a pop rock style preset. This old i3 doesn’t produce sound anymore, so by capturing the multiple MIDI channels of a preset style pattern, I’m able to breath new life into it by assigning those channels to a sandwich of VSTs.
Flight of the Blue Dove
Jamming on some synths while accompanied by an AI-generated backing track.
Christmas in Rockland
A laid-back but power rhythm leads a Vangelis-esque pulsing bass drone, accompanied by a choir synthetic and sampled voices from around the world. Add a little bit of regal horn and sparkling hand bells, and you’ve set the scene for Christmas in Rockland.
Alternative Epilogue
A happy little tune composed on a thrift store rescue, the Yamaha PSR-12 (with some modern strings at the end).
